Elect vice-chair: Margie Reurink
Set meeting schedule: Our regular meeting schedule of 6:30pm on the 2nd Tuesday of the month works for all.

Motion passed that Anna will be the chair and Margie the vice-chair. (Margie motion, Jen second.)

3. Additions/ subtractions to the Agenda

4.   Public comments

5.   Review and approve minutes from the February meeting
Minutes from the February meeting were reviewed and approved as written. (Barbara motioned, Sara second.)

6. Feed Your Passion:
He'll be there with his puzzles.
He had no luck contacting Winterview Farm.
Sara: Jaime Townshend is in Switzerland but would be interested in doing something with us in the future.
Art Gym and Tech Center will both be there.
Food: Copper Fox can't be here. They're on vacation.
The Hartness House is closed on Wednesdays.
Sara emailed the Sub-Way and will stop there on the way home tonight to see if they'll donate food.
Trout River – no response.
Barbara: The Co-op will donate some sort of food.
371 needs something in writing to donate. Amy will do a blank letter for any who need it. Also Amy can email out a flyer for Feed Your Passion that can also be used in approaching would-be donors.
Christine Porter will be here with her yo-yo!
Vicki Ball will demonstrate spinning.
Humane Society – no response yet.
Margie – Mary Beth Adler will present on fur animals.
Kelly Stetner confirmed for the Black River Action Team.
Author Erin Rounds will be here.
Ralph spoke with John Swanson who may present on Springfield and the Civil War. He should be in the Flinn Room.
Corrine Hammond will talk about our local volcano: Mt Ascutney.
Amy will contact Richard CoFrancesco re his contacts.
Jen confirmed Dark Mountain games and Flying Crow Coffee. Amy said Clever Cow Designs will be here if she can.
Jen volunteered to do the library map of the event. (Who will be where with what table, etc.)
Amy will contact Village Pizza.
Sara confirmed Zinny and her bearded dragon.
Edgar May is coming (Amy will confirm).
Anna confirmed that Cheryl Wylie, lead animal caregiver at VINE, will do a vegan food info table.
Sara will contact the movie theater. Would they like to do something?
Anna confirmed Blake Wyman, local youtuber with 6,000 followers. He can talk about mobile gaming. He may bring his bunny.
Discussion that the library should promote this on Instagram, etc., since he is a famous online presence. He probably could be positioned on the  2nd floor since he will be a draw!
Please send Amy short write-ups if needed on different presenters.
Should a raffle  be part of this? Amy will ask staff if they have things to raffle. Vine could donate 2 books written by Patrice (who's local) and a t-shirt.
Jenn will contact Cuppity Cakes!

Discussion on having someone at the entrance: “Welcome. This is Feed Your Passion. What's your passion?”
Or instead have a board and encourage people to write their passion on a sticky note and stick it to the board.
If it's a nice day, the welcome table could be just outside the library.
Board members should send Jen requests for upstairs/downstairs for your confirmed presenters.
Discussion that we probably have enough confirmed presenters so we don't have to contact any additional ones (or recontact ones we haven't yet heard from) except for the food providers.

5. Amy shared the director's report.
Margie will write a blurb for the Vermont Journal on the 3rd and 4th grade book group and will email it to Michelle.
Sara mentioned that she has a foldable movie screen made from fabric that easily fits into a drawer but then hangs up. This type of thing could be a solution for the Flynn room movie showings. Sara will let Amy know the brand name, etc.
Anna agreed to be on the committee to interview director candidates instead of  Barbara since her schedule is more flexible.

Discussion on having devices such as x-boxes, etc., that could be checked out from the library.
Amy suggested this discussion should be tabled for the new director. \
Maybe Friends in the future would buy the library a lending collection of odd devices.

6. FOSTL Report
Next meeting Wednesday, April 3rdth, 6:30pm at the First Congregational Church. Then the Speckers' fiddle concert! All should join the Friends! Also volunteering at their book sales is always appreciated.

7. Anniversary Celebration/
More info coming!

8. Next meeting date: Tuesday, April 16th, 6:30pm.
